There’s no way in hell driving sucks

I had to bring my car in for repairs today, just an inspection actually, nothing major.

Having just worked a midnight shift, and just missing the bus, I said “go for it” and I walked home.

What followed was a harrowing 4 mile journey. I foolishly thought I could do it because of all the “such and such Avenue 1/4 mile” signs on 878, I thought I could simply do it a quarter mile at the time. Boy was I wrong.

I got to a point of no return where I was far enough from my starting point that there was no point in going back, it would just be wasted motion to go back, so I went forward, and forward, and forward.

A 10 minute drive turned into a 75 minute walk.

Never ever do that again John.
